Exhibition Accessories For Every Stand

8 Ways to Add Impact To Your Exhibition!

If you’ve followed our guides on pop up stands and fabric stands, you’ll already be looking sharp and ready for the show.

But just how to make the most out of that stand and space?

This post will throw a few exhibition accessories into the mix to help you raise your game even further.

Exhibition stand accessories can be broken down into two types – ones that grab attention and ones that perform a function.
Now I’m not saying that the ones that are all about function can’t be eye-catching too, it’s just that for them, they’ve got a job to do first!

Exhibition Accessories That Provide Function

If you’re adding an element to your exhibition stand and it’s going to take up some of the floor, it needs to pay for itself in usefulness over the three or four days.

The first stand accessory that is more of a necessity than an add-on is the counter.
We’ve got a wide range that covers every requirement on our main page here.

A Pop Up Counter like the Eurostand is ideal for somewhere to place literature, a laptop or just to take down client information.

Simple to erect and super stable in use, Pop Up Counters are available curved, straight and with shelves and racks to hold collateral.
Most of them can integrate graphic panels for extra branding opportunities and many of them have storage built in like the Expolinc Case & Counter.

The Spiral Display System is a clever little unit that folds down to a single wheeled case for transporting around and storage.

When in use, it simply ‘pops up’ to create a 4 level display case for presenting your products.
It includes a built-in downlighter and the windows of the unit can also be branded to really bring focus to what’s inside.

There’s also a smaller plinth version that has two levels and the option for an iPad mount.

The Physique Freestyle Multi-Height Nest Plinth is designed to showcase your products in an individual and engaging way.

With three levels, multiple tabletop diameters, and a choice of fabric wraps, its a cost-effective way to present whilst still keeping you that bit more distinctive compared to the other exhibitors.

Info on all the Physique Freestyle options is here.

An addition that really changes the dynamic of the stand is the Formulate Meeting Pod.
Not only does it give you somewhere private to step out of the main stand with a client and talk, but it also adds an impressive second area in the simplest of ways.

The Pod can be fully branded to either fit in with your main display or with a bit of creative flair, take on a life of its own.

More info on the Formulate Meeting Pod is here.

Exhibition Accessories To Grab Attention

The Formulate Circle Hanging Structure sits above your stand like a visual sentry letting everyone know where you are and how to find you.

Imagine the Goodyear blimp sat over you in the exhibition hall or even better, how about the bat signal!?
It’s an impressive and eye-catching accessory that is guaranteed to put your brand head and shoulders above everyone else.

Designed to span the stand to create a focal (and discussion) point is the Formulate Arch.
Available in either 2.7m or a huge 6m, this easy to assemble structure will make your stand the one they all talk about.

It adds a dramatic feel to any space and, of course, can be personalised and printed with any full-colour artwork.
Your unique message adorned across this monumental arch will ensure that when it catches the eye, it makes a real on-brand statement.

The 6m version even has an option for a triple archway just in case a single arch doesn’t have quite the impact your business deserves!

Anything illuminated in the exhibition hall catches the eye.
Take something that’s illuminated and make it different, then you’ve got a product that will stop people in their tracks.

The Lantern Banner is exactly that.

At 2m tall, imagine one of these sat at either end of your exhibition stand.

With optional LED lighting, their unique shape plus the three-sided bespoke printed panels, these lanterns really are a surefire way to make your space stand out.

After the show, they can even be used outside your business premises!

Finally, our all new LED Scroller Banner can take your message and put it up in lights.

We wrote a post about the innovative LED roll up banner but as a quick recap, its as easily transported and erected as a standard banner stand but this one is capable of so much more.

Pull the graphic panel out of the cassette and fix to the centre pole. Take the intelligent LED screen and slide into the fabric sleeve.
Program your message using the easy to use Android app and beam over using Bluetooth.

Super bright, totally customisable and incredibly simple to use.

Exclusive to Printdesigns and brand new to the UK, the LED Scroller Banner could well be the exhibition accessory that your next show needs.

Fabric Exhibition Stands For Innovative Exhibitors

Following on from the previous deep dives into ideas for Shell Scheme graphics plus the previous post on how to make the most with an exhibition floor space, now we’re turning the spotlight to fabric exhibition stands.

Fabric display stands from Printdesigns

Here at Printdesigns, we adopted dye sublimation technology early on in the technology’s life.
I could see the huge benefits in soft materials that don’t crease, can be easily transported and also creates super vibrant images whilst still staying cost-effective.

There is still a place in the exhibition hall for rigid boards and polyester panel clad pop up stands, but with the innovation in fabrics coupled with the frame designs available, I can see them really being the defacto go-to product for exhibitors who want to stand out from the bustling crowd.

Texstyle curved fabric stand from Printdesigns

Reasons to use fabric graphics for your next exhibition stand:

  • Lightweight – so easy to transport around and even pop the graphics in the post to a colleague within the UK or overseas.
  • Easy to erect – pull the fabric around the frame, zip up and voila, job done.
  • No joins or seams – unlike standard pop up panels, the fabric graphic will be produced in one piece.
  • Machine washable – how about being able to pop your graphics in the wash if they become dirty?

All our fabrics are not only printed here in Staffordshire but we also sew and fully finish in-house.
No shipping your order elsewhere to be completed off-site.
We check the quality all through the process and  we can monitor your fabric exhibition stand all the way through production.

Now, as I mentioned in a previous post, the exhibition hall is a busy place and it is make or break as to whether you stand out or slip into the sidelines.
Using these innovative fabric frames will help push your brand and message to the fore and catch the attention of your target audience.

The first and simplest of our fabric options is the Impact Hop Up Display Stand.

It works on the same premise as a panel clad pop up stand however this one uses a single piece of fabric to showcase your graphic.

Instead of having to line up three or so strips using magnetics on the back of the panels, the Impact Hop Up utilises velcro on it’s one single section.

Incredibly portable and complete with a wheeled trolley bag that fits both panels and frame, the Impact Hop Up can be assembled and disassembled in a matter of minutes.

The Impact Hop Up Stand or its curved alternative can be found here and here.

Impact hop up fabric stand from Printdesigns

Next up is the Embrace SEG Pop Up Stand.

Similar in concept to the Hop Up, this one incorporates a  silicone beading that is attached to the fabric and fed into the frame.
The silicone bead is used instead of the velcro and allows for greater tension to be applied to the face graphic.

In simple terms, it means your message will stay smoother and flatter against the frame.

Its also worth mentioning here that we use a blockout material for our fabric exhibition stands. Even when there is strong light behind your display, you won’t have any distracting frame show-through.

For more information on the Embrace SEG stand, click here.

Texstyle & Formulate Fabric Stands

The big difference between the Impact or Embrace above and one of our Texstyle or Formulate range is down to the way the graphic is fitted to the frame.

Instead of silicone beading or velcro, the fabric graphic panel used for the Texstyle has been sewn as a sleeve.
Made in a stretchy polyester, it is simply pulled around the frame and zipped up.

Super quick to assemble, incredibly lightweight yet brilliantly effective.

If you’ve been looking for something different in exhibition stands, the Texstyle range could be exactly what you’ve been searching for.

We can add in lights, literature holders, brackets for flat screen TVs, even iPad stands.
It’s an impressive and adaptable display stand that also looks incredibly stylish.

Texstyle straight fabric stand from Printdesigns

To find out more on both the Formulate and Texstyle ranges, click here.

If a 2.4m or 3m wide just hasn’t got quite the imposing size your brand requires, we’ve got options at up to 6m across.

Image of Texstyle 6m curved fabric stand from Printdesigns

These colossal fabric backdrops are so much easier to assemble than magnetic panel alternatives.
As with the smaller versions, we still produce as one complete sleeve that is simply pulled over the frame and zipped up. 5 to 10 minutes to erect and just the same when taking down.

Plus, when it comes to transporting around, who would believe a 6m wide fabric exhibition stand could be packed up and carried by hand?

Click on the links for info on the 6m versions of both Formulate and Texstyle.

Scene Ultralight Fabric Exhibition Stand

A stand that’s a little different is the Scene Ultralight from Sweden.
It’s a free standing back wall that excels where ultra lightweight and portability are the highest priorities.

The Scene Ultralight uses vertical telescopic poles across the width that are joined together by two horizontal curved poles.

Now the clever twist is in these two curved poles. They can be combined into 12 different ‘shape’ variations.

Image of Scene Ultralight fabric back wall from Printdesigns

Once you’ve decided on the shape, slide the top and bottom bars into the two channels of the fabric graphic. The top pole is then fitted to the fixings in the vertical poles.

The poles are then lifted to create the tension on the fabric and the lightweight scheme can be adapted to create the desired look.

Perfect for a unique back wall, check the video on our product page here.

I’ll cover some of the other fabric add-ons and unique systems we create here at Prindesigns next.
From the eye catching Drum Fabric Display to the Arch and Meeting Pod, I’ll be back with ideas and inspiration for making the most of your exhibition space.

We go the extra mile to create innovate exhibition display but don’t just take our word for it – look through our reviews and see what our happy customers think.

And, if you are local to Staffordshire, our on-site showroom is available.
Pop in for a coffee and look around our range of pop ups.
Send us a message through our Facebook page or direct on email to sales@printdesigns.com to let us know you’re coming over.

The New Revolution In Roller Banners?

It’s hard to stand out.
We covered ways to make an impression with exhibition graphics in our previous post so we know its tough to create an impact.

Its why we continually develop new systems and search for fresh options to get your message noticed.
Its what we do to keep us (and you) ahead of the curve.

Its also why, when we spot something a little different, we’re all over it!

Now, it may come as a surprise but we know a little about roller banners.
We know which ones work for what purpose and which are more reliable and which are the best at each price point.

What we also know is that sourcing something really unique in today’s roller banner marketplace is pretty hard to find.

That’s why, when we set eyes on our new LED Scroller Banner, we knew that sometimes a product that’s really innovative does pop up.

Image showing the Exclusive LED Scroller Banner from Printdesigns

Our R&D people with their white coats and clipboards have been testing it out for a while.
They’ve been pulling it, pushing it, and generally putting it through its paces.

Once they gave us the nod, we knew it was ready to make its first appearance in our online store.

Image showing the innovative LED Scroller Banner from Printdesigns

Our Scroller Banner product page has all the info, but I’ll cover the main points here as well while I’ve got your attention.

It’s no bigger than a regular roller banner so it’s still incredibly portable and easily carried around.
In fact, the main difference to a standard unit is that it needs power for the LED screen. It’s a 3 pin plug so no hassle.

Plus, instead of the graphic being printed on a textured film, the Scroller Banner uses a creaseproof and durable polyester fabric.
Punchy and vivid, your image will be almost as bright as the LED screen itself!

By using a fabric, we’ve incorporated a pocket where the LED screen simply slides into.
After the stand is in place and upright, the intelligent LED panel slips into the sleeve ready for action.

Its also worth knowing that we can produce additional polyester printed panels should you need to cover different events or applications.

To get your information up in lights, there’s an Android app that beams the info directly to the screen via Bluetooth.
One touch and the LED’s message is completely personalised. There is even a setting for the font type and scroll speed.

Image showing the screen on the LED Scroller Banner from Printdesigns

Where To Use A New LED Scroller Banner Stand

  • Offices and meeting rooms – guests being immediately acknowledged with their name on the screen.
  • Events – as a programmable wayfinding solution, it can’t be beaten.
  • Retail – how about today’s specials or offers changed daily with the flick of a phone screen? Simple yet remarkably effective.
  • In fact, it’ll fit anywhere you’d use a regular roller banner.  An LED Scroller Banner will just catch so many more people’s attention as they walk past.

If your displays are just not getting the attention they deserve, turbocharge your banner stands with the all-new LED Scroller from Printdesigns.

Filling The Floor With Exhibition Pop Up Stands

Featured Image for a blog post by Printdesigns about the best exhibition pop up stands for your business

Following on from our previous post on ideas for making the most out of a shell scheme stand, this post looks at what to do with exhibition stands when you’ve got the whole floor to design with.

If you’ve rented space and been allocated a part of the exhibition hall’s floor, you need something to fill that space and make the most impact.

Image showing the Essential Pop Up Exhibition system from Printdesigns

The days of standing behind a table and handing out flyers to everyone that passes by is long gone and as we said in the last post, you’ve got seconds to grab a visitor’s attention.
Because of this, you need something eye-catching and visual as well as large enough to fill the space you’ve been given.
Being eye-catching is common sense – bland or unappealing just won’t inspire in a crowded hall – but large?

There’s a lot of competition in that exhibition hall and you’ll be vying for prospective customers’ attention the same as everyone else.
If someone is walking two aisles away and catches a glimpse of your display, you need it to pull them in and get them interested.

You also need to remember that your stand, like any of your promotional print such as signage, brochures, or business cards, conveys who and what your company stands for.

I understand everything has a cost and exhibiting needs to be cost effective but looking impressive in an exhibition hall needn’t be as expensive as one might think especially if you put some ideas into the design and flow of your space.

Exhibition Pop Up Stands

Now, roller banners or a Pop Up Tower could be the first option when looking to fill the floor.
In most spaces though, a roller banner is going to look a little lost unless incorporated within more display units, and that means more cost for what may be minimal extra impact.

The first alternative to fill more real estate both in height and area is a Pop Up Stand.

Image showing the Express Pop Up system from Printdesigns Staffordshire

There are numerous alternatives and we’ve got a full page of pop up stand options but to keep it simple, the reasons for choosing one over the other are:

  • How big does it need to be?
  • How is it being transported to the venue?
  • Who is putting it together?
  • Is it to be reused?
  • How unique do you want your brand to appear?

Most pop up stands use an aluminium frame and a number of printed panels that are attached to the frame using magnetic strips.

Something like our Express Pop Up stand is ideal for its low cost whilst still offering big impact.
It’s 2.2m tall and can be fitted with lights along its straight or curved width options.
The printed panels use a tried and tested polyester film and are finished with a scratch resistant surface.
For transport and storage, these panels are placed inside a wheeled case which doubles up as a podium when exhibiting.
The aluminium frame also folds down and is popped back in its own case.

Image showing the assembly of the Express Pop Up system from Printdesigns.com

There is also the popular Expolinc pop up system that offers ease of assembly while offering either a straight or curved display.

Image showing the Expolinc pop up system available online from Printdesigns.com

It’s a simple solution and works well. The only downside is that in an exhibition hall, there will be potentially hundreds of this same type of unit.
Not an issue if you’ve got the design in place to look unique, but if your stand needs to really stand out, there are other options.

L-Shaped Pop Up Stand

An L Shaped stand will not only fill the space but also transform it with a sense of something much more expansive.
Just by having that different free standing floor layout, it catches the eye and has much more of a visual appeal.

The ‘L’ can be on either side of the display and with much more wall space, it can incorporate TV screens or leaflet holders.
It’ll also give you or your team space to walk around and interact with visitors.

We see them not only used in a corner booth space but they also effectively block out other surrounding spaces and help keep the focus on your brand.

More information on L-Shaped stands is here.

Serpentine Pop Up Stand

When you’ve got plenty of floor area to cover and you need to look as impressive as possible, the Serpentine or Wave pop up stand is ideal.

Image showing the wave or serpentine pop up display exhibition system from Printdesigns.com

It’s flowing design makes for a much more attractive unit than a flat panel exhibition display unit. Being just under 6m wide, it also has plenty of space for your brand to tell it’s story.
Plus if you have a number of your people on the stand, you’ll need enough room for them to work – the Serpentine has space in spades.

The Serpentine and its specifications are here.

Gullwing Pop Up Display

Another impressive looking option is the ‘W’ shaped Gullwing Pop Up.
Like the Serpentine, its spacious width is guaranteed to fill the space effectively and really get your brand seen.

The two sections can either create a flowing seamless display or could even be used as separate areas promoting different facets of your business. The Gullwing’s frame can also be split apart to make up smaller units or even multiple displays for smaller shows and events.

Investing in a stand like the Gullwing will give the opportunity to exhibit effectively for many, many shows.

More information here.

Shaped Island Pop Up Stands

If your floor space allows people to see you from multiple routes within the hall, the simplest and most effective way to showcase your brand to all these visitors is by using a shaped stand.
There are options for either triple or quad islands that make your brand viewable from pretty much any angle.

Image showing the Triple Island Pop Up System from Printdesigns

They link up regular 3×3 frameworks (making breaking them down as smaller individual stands simple to do) and the panels fit to the frames with the same tried and trusted magnetic bars.
If you have a large floor space to cover and are out to impress, one of the Island stands will certainly stop people in their tracks.

Image showing the Quad Island Pop Up System from Printdesigns

For details on the Triple Island click here, and the Quad Island is here.

Use our exhibition design tips from the post here when thinking about your artwork and be prepared for your next exhibition to be a huge success!

This post covers the options for Pop Up Stands that use separate panels to make up the graphics. All these displays utilise the magnetic bars and anti-scratch panels that have been the go-to products for Printdesigns’ Pop Ups for years.

However, with textile printing really making advances (plus our investment in the right kit), the alternative fabric display stand may be the better choice for your business.

In our next post, we’ll look at the options for making a real impact with fabrics.

Everything You Ever Needed To Know About Promotional Flags!

Complete Guide to Feather Flags, Advertising Flags & More

Image from a blog post by Printdesigns - A Guide To Advertising Flags

When it comes to promotional flags, there are so many different directions the wind might take you in.
Whether you’re considering feather flags, advertising flags, or any other type of custom flag, there is something that will work hard at grabbing your potential customer’s attention.

In this guide, I’ll explore your options and everything you need to know about the alternatives to help you make the choice most likely to help you stand out.

Image showing a number of options for feather flags used in blog post about promotional flags from Printdesigns

Feather Flags

Feather flags are a great way to promote your business and organisation, let people know where you are, and get them walking through your door.

This option is, as its name implies, lightweight – without compromising on quality. They’re durable, easily portable, and quick to install anywhere.
They’re attached to high-quality glass fibre poles and come featuring full-colour graphics of your choice. Ours even come with a carrying bag to make them easy to transport to new locations.

Feather flags come with both single- and double-sided print options, allowing you to decide if you want it to be viewable from both directions if you want them to display the same message, and other customisation options.

Image showing a feather flag available online from Printdesigns

You can also choose the type of base you want it fitted on to determine how long it will last. This choice often depends on the type of terrain you’ll be installing it in.
Is it in a windy place, or will it be subjected to a lot of rain?

Or will it be in a fairly calm location and not be subjected to a lot of harsh conditions?

If you’ll be inserting it into soft ground, like grass, you will do well with a spike base, while harder surfaces might require a cross base or even something more hard-wearing.
These are the types of things you should consider when deciding the type of base that will be right for your new promotional material.

Image showing a feather flag base used in a bog post about promotional flags by Printdesigns

Unsure as to the hows and whys?  Get in touch with one of the Printdesigns team and we’ll walk you through it.

All in all, if you’re looking for a promotional flag that will do you and your organisation justice, these are easy-to-install and attractive options that will get the attention of passers-by and help to raise interest in your company!

For more information on feather flags, click here.

Teardrop Flags

Teardrop flags are also known as flying banners. These helpful advertising tools, like their feather counterparts, use high-quality and lightweight poles made from glass fibre.
Supplied with full-colour graphics on the material, striking prints designed to capture your brand will surely catch the attention of all who pass by and help to deliver your message.

Image showing a teardrop flag used in a blog post about feather and teardrop flags by Printdesigns.com

Teardrop flags can be printed either single- or double-sided and displayed in a variety of different landscapes with a base of your choice that best fits your needs. The primary distinction between feather and teardrop flags is their shape.

While feather options have a straight-lined bottom, the teardrop products are aptly named in that they more closely resemble the shape of a teardrop.

To learn more about teardrop flags, visit this link.

Custom Flags

If you are struggling to find an option that truly fits your needs, there are many options to have custom promotional products made to help you achieve your goals and get your message in front of the eyes of the public.
With bright imagery and attractive displays, you can really turn some heads and grab the eyeballs and attention of passers-by.

If the feather and teardrop options don’t quite cut the mustard, there’ll be a custom flag in our range that will get the job done and get people walking through your door!

Talk to one of us about your goals and what you are looking for in a flag.
We’ll be able to help you develop something ideal for your needs if you want something more specialised than your typical feather or teardrop flag.

Why You Can Benefit from Using Advertising Flags?

There are lots of things to love about using these products as a promotional tactic. They help to keep your brand in front of the faces of people who pass by them, and if it’s in an area relevant to your business, it will help locals to associate that place with your company.

Here are some of the top reasons that organisations can benefit from this type of promotion:

  • Cost effective method of advertising
  • Can be installed anywhere
  • Easy to install, uninstall, and reinstall
  • Durable
  • Round-the-clock advertising
  • Keeps your brand in the view of those who pass by the area
  • Colourful and visually appealing method of attracting your audience’s attention

Legal Guidelines

Have you decided that your brand can benefit from promotional flags and are already thinking about where you might have them installed for maximum effect?

Before you get ahead of yourself, it’s important to keep in mind that different areas have different laws on where signs, flags, flyers, and other promotional materials may be displayed.

Before setting up your promotional products in a specific spot, it is a good idea to look into your local area’s laws on where they may or may not be installed.
However, in most cases, this does not tend to be an issue, as the places with the most visibility to the public are usually a safe place to display your promotional material.

Image showing a teardrop flag used in a blog post by Printdesigns about promotional flags

The Material Behind the Flags

Your promotional flags will come made from woven polyester, an incredibly durable and high-quality fabric that will get the job done well.
We use woven polyester as it’s a versatile material that can be stitched and sewn in a multitude of different ways.
It results in a striking product that’ll remain colourful and eye-catching for extended periods of time.

The woven polyester is printed using a process called dye sublimation. This refers to a technique in which heat is applied to transfer ink onto the material in question.

We only use the dye sublimation procedure for printing promotional flags because it works so effectively on the polyester, images appear incredibly vibrant, and its guaranteed to look like new for ages.

Image showing the fabrivu printer used for dye sublimation printing at Printdesigns

Woven polyester also makes a great material for these products because it is machine washable on the gentle setting.
This way, even if they are left outside in harsh weather conditions, you can simply throw them in the wash to have them emerge as good as new once more.

This material is good enough for the military to place its faith in, so we believe it to be up to any of the challenges it will face in most areas.

Who Should Use Promotional Flags?

Promotional flags are highly useful and versatile tools that can be used in nearly any industry looking for cost-effective outdoor advertising.

Campaigns we’ve printed for include flags for the leisure industry, corporate events, and hospitality. They are a worthwhile way to get the word out about any brand. If you’ve got a brick-and-mortar location, a flag outside will get your premises noticed.

Now you know the lowdown on advertising flags, pop over to our online flags store to find the right advertising flags to make a real impact for your business.
