A number of exciting exhibitions across a huge range of industries are approaching within the next few months, and organisations across the country will be gearing up for the events, preparing their banner stands and honing the skills of their expert sales teams. From the medical field to the PR industry, and from deep offshore technology to security services, there are huge trade shows and exhibitions taking place up and down the country which will give businesses and companies the opportunity to show off their wares and network with potential partners.
Announced this week, the Chartered Institute of Public Relations has launched their ‘Public Relations Show’, which will be held on the 26th November in London. Mooted as the first event of its kind in the UK, the exhibition will take place at the Business Design Centre and will endeavour to bring together around 1,000 professionals from the public relations industry in order to network and gain contacts, as well as discussing the latest trends and solutions within their industry. The event will feature a PR advice clinic, careers advice, a social media surgery as well as the traditional exhibition where services will be introduced and contacts made. For all potential exhibitors, the exclusive trade show aims to offer a dynamic new platform to showcase exciting services with pop up banner stands, whilst giving those in the industry the chance to widen their pools of contacts and increase their visibility.
The Emergency Services Show is a traditional date on the exhibition calendar, but is this year changing its format slightly. It will this year be held at the NEC in Birmingham, and will shun its usual timeslot in November by moving to the last weekend in September. The event’s growth in previous years has meant that the event has moved in order to take advantage of longer daylight hours and stay open for longer, as well as using a venue with increased capacity, to fit more exhibition stands and participants. The show is aimed at anyone involved with emergency response across the country, including voluntary workers and a range of similar service providers.
As one show moves into the NEC, another departs; the Protection & Management Series, which includes a Health and Safety Expo and Facility Show, will be moved to the Excel Centre in London in June 2014. A period of research was undertaken in order to establish what stakeholders wished for the future of the trade show, and a move to the capital was widely supported. Organisations such as The British Security Industry Association, The Institution of Occupational Safety & Health, and the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) all backed the move, which will enhance the capacity of the event and help the yearly conference to evolve.
