The APPP Expo or Shanghai International AD & Sign Technology & Equipment Exhibition is the largest worldwide show relating to large format printing, banner stands and display. Housed in over 8 halls at the Shanghai New Exhibition Centre, the show attracts tens of thousands of visitors from all over the world.

Printdesigns attended the event from Wednesday to Friday of this week as part of our on-going commitment to sourcing the latest display products directly from the manufacturers. We have been importing a range of roller banner stands, pop up displays and related equipment from China since 2004 when we first visited the country. During this time, we have forged successful relationships with many of the leading and most innovative suppliers in the Far East.

Some new products we have located this year include an excellent replaceable cassette roller banner stand which is not only stylish but very cost effective too with replacement graphic cassettes costing less than an economy banner stand. We have also expanded our range of fabric display systems and will be showcasing an entirely new range of attractive backwall systems soon.

A novel product that we have sourced is a digital LED based desktop display sign. The product can be run from mains supply or a battery for many days and can be written onto using a dry wipe pen whereby the ink is illuminated by light.
