SCI (the Society of Chemical Industry) was able to achieve its goal of spreading innovation in science at an event on Brexit and the UK Industrial Strategy last December by enlisting the help of experienced wide format printing provider, Printdesigns. After a consultation period and by following advice from Printdesigns SCI was able to fulfil its aim, using 12 banner stands to successfully portray its message while encouraging networking between key guests.
SCI is a multi-science network, made up of over 3000 members. With a passion for invention and creation, its charitable aim is to promote links between chemistry related sciences and industry for the greater benefit for society. At the event last December, it wanted to tell the story of ICI (Imperial Chemical Industries), highlighting the key innovations that have changed the way people live.
Although SCI initially contacted the printing provider to request conventional roller banners and fabric banner stands, Printdesigns listened to its needs and provided the organisation with 12 lightweight tensioned fabric banner stands, a different but effective option. These products offered the quality of print it required while also being easy to transport, helping SCI enjoy a successful event, spreading its important message clearly to delegates while not disrupting networking activities.
Jocelyn Williams, Communications Officer at SCI revealed, “We were very impressed of the quality of the print on fabric of the tensioned banners we ordered from Print Designs. The images and text were clear and gave a very professional look for the story we wanted to tell.”
Once the order was placed, the chosen fabric banner stands took less than a week to arrive, keeping in line with the tight deadlines that often precedes events of this kind. The premium printing provider was also able to ensure no mistakes occurred on the banner stands that could damage SCI’s public reputation. Print Designs was able to amend errors on the original artwork to ensure it was left with only premium banner stands to use at the event.
Mark Thompson, Co-Founder of Printdesigns added, “Our customers come first at Printdesigns, so we were pleased to learn that SCI was happy with our work and that we helped them achieve their goals. We’ve been helping clients like SCI for over a decade, so we encourage future customers to give us a call, as SCI did, to ensure we give them the right display stands to suit their needs! It was a pleasure working with the company, and we hope we can assist them at their next event.”
