So, you’ve chosen your pop up and banner stands, looked at the lighting and layout, and designed an exciting exhibition stand…
Now, how do you make sure that all this effort translates into a successful exhibition? The preparation doesn’t end with the physical appearance of your stand, so here are a few tips to help you make the most out of your trade show:
1. You need to set goals for your trade show appearance. Make sure they are concrete objectives that can be measured after the event. For example, how many new potential customers do you want added to your mailing lists? How much revenue do you expect to make from sales during the event etc.?
2. Think about how you will encourage visitors to leave their contact details. You will need to provide incentives, whether it is a prize draw or competition or the organisation of a free consultation post-exhibition.
3. Ensure you have a system in place for collecting information about any prospects. You will need their contact information, of course, but also details that will help you understand consumer behaviour and effectively target your marketing campaigns.
4. Make sure the people manning your stand are up to the job. They must have the right training on products and your company, of course, but they will also need to have excellent people skills and be able to set the right tone. The human face of your stand could make or break its success….
